As of recent, I've been a quiet soul on here. I know you noticed, all 5 of you who read π
But don't worry, I haven't been absent without reason. There's been a lot of multi-tasking going on, diligently trying to find a publisher for Who Put Bella in the Wych Elm?. So far, it's been a tiring process that hasn't gotten very far. I just keep reminding myself, even sucessful writers didn't get picked up right away nor on their first book. I'm still in good company.
Now, about that multi-tasking. I've submitted Bella to lots of different publishing houses and much of that is now a waiting game (as I've mentioned in a previous posts). So, while I wait, I've decided to start on my NEXT novel.
I have two stories that I'm quite excited about, but one of them is a little bit outside my wheel-house as it has flavors of H.P. Lovecraft. Yet, it's consuming my creative side. Set in the 1970s, this Lovecraftian horror haunts a rural southeastern Ohio town in the midst of a early winter snowstorm. I've been slaving away on the outline, just letting the story and characters go the direction they want. I have no ending in mind and that's given my subconscious-creativity freedom to just let the characters do what they want—which includes the antagonist(s). I literally have no idea where this story will head, how it will end, and who will survive. It's exciting to write cause it's a mystery to me as well.
With that said, I need to get back to the story ... I'm not sure if this character gets to live or not ... we shall see. Till then, stay spooky!
