UPDATE:
As of this evening, Friday April 26th, we are now fully funded! Now it is about possibly attaining some of the stretch goals for an audiobook adaptation and internal illustrations.
Welcome back! Once again, this week is an update on the Kickstarter.
We are nearing the fully funded status, but there's still work to be done—we can't stop this close to the finishline.
We're at 89%, steadily and consistently closing in on that magical 100% fully funded marker. Mind you, kickstarters are all or nothing. If I don't reach 100%, all funds are returned to the donors and I have to start from stratch.
I'm looking for 6 more backers to take me the rest of the way home (assuming they pledge the average amount). I can not make up the difference to reach 100% as that violates the terms and conditions of the kickstarter and would cause me to lose it all. This is the inherent risk of crowdfunding on Kickstarter.
Multiple family and friends have given their verbal commitment to support the campaign, so I'm hoping they follow through with their pledge and take me the rest of the way home. However, in the off chance they don't, I need everyone's help. Even $5 can make a difference between finishing at 99% (I lose it all) and 100% (I can move forward with the next stages of my book).
And, as usual, here's the daily kickstarter meme!
